Ever wanted to make a phone call with your CB Radio?  Well now you can.  The Cobra 29 LTD BT (Bluetooth), is both a full featured mobile radio, but adds cellular blue tooth technology so you can (in a new, interesting way), literally make a phone call with your cb.  Definately something new and neat.  When I first heard Cobra came out with this technology, I had to be one of the first to purchase one for my personal use!  Actually, with all the road noise, regular cell phones simply don't have the audio output to be heard loudly and clearly.  If you have a great external speaker, this can save the day! 

Cobra is giving professional drivers one more way to communicate safely and easily with the first-ever CB radio with Bluetooth technology - the new Cobra 29 LTD BT. The Bluetooth feature allows drivers a better way to have phone conversations on the road because calls from a mobile phone are synched with the CB radio. A noise canceling microphone allows calls to be heard loud and clear, even over a noisy engine. Incoming audio is routed through the radio's 5-Watt CB speaker making it easy for the driver to hear the caller. The unit also provides one-touch Bluetooth operation, giving drivers the ability to stay focused on the road by answering and terminating calls with the push of one button. An auto-redial feature also allows for one-touch redialing of the last number called.

The new unit offers 4 Watts AM RF power output, the maximum amount of power allowed by law; Talk Back controls allowing drivers to adjust the desired amount of modulation talk back; a Blue Channel indicator displaying channel selection in cool blue illumination; and Delta Tune which is used to clarify incoming signals. Calls on a Bluetooth enabled cell phone can be routed through the 29 LTD BT speaker or external speaker accessory.

To Answer Calls:

Press and release the BT Button when the cell phone ring is heard through the 29 LTD BT speaker. The BT LED will light steadily to indicate a call is in progress.  Speak into the 29 LTD BT microphone.  The CB function of the unit and PTT Button will be disabled while a call is in progress.  End the call by press and release of the BT Button.  A tone will sound and the BT LED will flash briefly.

To Initiate Calls:

Dial a number according to the cell phone manufacturer’s instructions.  The key press and other tones will be heard through the 29 LTD BT speaker.  Press Send on the cell phone.The BT LED will light steadily to indicate a call is in progress; and after a few seconds, you will hear the ring tone for the number you dialed.  Once connected, speak into the 29 LTD BT microphone.  End the call by press and release of the BT Button.
