CB Radio Antennas
CB radio antennas are probably the most important part of a cb radio set up. Without a
quality antenna, you're signal will be poor. CB Radio Antennas have a large influence on both
receive and transmit performance.
From the Starduster, Super Penetrator 500s, to the newer Antron A99, and IMAX 2000 fiberglass variations,
you'll find the classics here.
CB Radio Antennas to work efficiently, need a proper SWR match. This is also often overlooked, and
regardless of how much gain the antenna may have, without a proper SWR (or Standing Wave Ratio) match, much of the
signal performance can be lost, or worse yet, you can actually burn up your two way radio!
We recommend before transmitting on any antenna, that this step is taken, to at least check the SWR, and then
make any tuning adjustments as needed. The time invested, would be well worth it, in terms of both higher
range performance, and longer cb radio transistors (also known as finals) survival rate.
